Kasamh Se is an Indian soap opera produced by Ekta Kapoor and Sharan Kapoor and directed by Taimur Bajwa. It has been shown since 2006 on Zee TV every Sunday-Thursday. Kasamh Se deals with the trials and tribulations of three sisters, Bani, Pia and Rano. It is said to be inspired by the American novel, Little Women.

[edit] Plot
- Bani, Pia and Rano are three sisters who live in Mount Abu with their father, Nishikant Dixit. Their mother died seven years earlier. Their father became an alcoholic and died. Before Nishikant, their father, dies, he makes Bani promise that she will protect and take care of her younger sisters. The three sisters then go to Jai Walia in Mumbai and were given shelter there. Jai falls in love with and proposes marriage to Pia. Pia, despite being in love with Pushkar, her older sister, Bani's, love interest, agrees to the marriage believing that Jai will give her a better life than Pushkar can. However, later on, Pia decides to elope with Pushkar. Jai's sister, Jigyasa, then suggests that Jai marry Bani, who is then forced to do so. Despite Jai and Bani getting married, Jai refuses to accept her as his wife, and treats her with complete hatred. Later on, Jai is lead into compulsion of revealing that 7 years ago he had killed Bani's mother accidentally. At first, Bani is devastated by this, but later Bani pretends to hate being in the presence of Jai Walia so that she can save Jai's money and company from being destroyed. They fall in love and happiness comes but for the Walia family it does not last long.
- After Bani and Jai's relationship has been bonded together, it is again shattered into pieces. Pia, Bani's formerly "loving sister," claimed to be in love with Jai, and had a [one night stand] with him.It is not Jai's fault, because Pia put drugs into his drink that night. Only Jai's cousin, Karuna, knows this. She doesn't tell anyone because Pia emotionally blackmails her. Pia tries to get closer and closer to Jai Walia and tells him about the "good news". Jai feels that he really wants a baby and Bani can't get one for a while because of her first accident. He decides to keep Pia happy but hidden from Bani. Bani feels Jai is having an affair because she gets mysterious calls and Jai also gets mysterious calls from a blocked ID. Jai knows it is Pia but Bani doesn't. Rano finds out but Pia tells her the truth would kill Bani and Pia would tell her if she opened her mouth to anyone. On the day of their anniversary, Pia hires a guy to "shoot" her so Jai will cry for his baby. He takes her outside and Jai follows them, Bani follows, too,but she hides. The guy pretends to shoot her and Pia falls to the ground, Jai catches her and starts to cry you killed my baby. Bani goes into a mental state where she doesn't cry or do anything. Jai knows that Bani loves him, and she wouldn't want him to leave her no matter what. She pretends that he loves Pia and will marry her. Pia is happy, but Jai is only pretending. Jai gives Bani divorce papers and she faints. In the hospital she has a dream about her baby.Bani finds out that she's pregnant. She wakes up and run away from the hospital. She starts hitting her stomach saying she doesn't want the baby to experience the pain she felt.She then feels that she will give birth to this baby so the baby could punish his/her father. Only Jai's cousin and Massi know about her pregnancy. When Bani is going to leave the house so Pia's baby can have Jai as the father, Massi tells Bani how Pia put drugs in Jai's drink. Pia eventually gets back in the house. She tries to make Bani crazy by making up a fake person. Pia then makes a video framing Bani for Sahil's murder.
- Later on...Pia steals all happiness from Bani. After giving birth to twins in mental hospital because everyone in the family stated her as mad person because they think she killed Sahil. They were forced to do this because of Pia. Pia and Jai are going to get married. Bani thinks they do..but they don't because Jai is already get married before. Bani runs away with the help of Aparjit Dev. In area where she is running away, mines explode, everyone thinks she's dead. Five years later she comes back as Durga Dasgupta, with help of Aparjit Dev. Aparjit Dev makes her hate Jai as he hates him too. No one knows she's alive, she has come silently but will leave a terror and take away her children.Now she is going to get married with Aparjit Dev for the sake of his mother who is dying of tumor. Later on Pia has found about Jai and Rano about their plan and she was about to leave the house as soon Rano stopped her between and start giving her lectures.And now after 5 years Pushkar is back to take his revenge on Jai and Pia with the help of Bani and Aparajit Dev.Aparajit Dev hates Jai Walia because he thinks Jai has killed his former wife. This is wrong and everything is cleared up. Bani wants her children thought so she says to Aparajit that she must go to Walia Mansion to get back her children, yet she will come back after thirty days. There, Bani takes control and command of the house legally and destroys Jai Walia's company. Jai lets her do this because he is secretly in love with her. Then Rashi, who was dying of blood cancer for five years, makes a return. Ranvir, who is Rano's husband because Rashi forced them to marry knowing she will die. Rashi is Ranvir's former wife and she loves him. Ranvir only loves Rano. Rano is torn and leaves the house. Ranvir goes after her. Jigyasa, who hates Bani, Pia, and Rano, sent goons to capture Rano. Then, she makes a deal with Bani that, to get Rano back, she must give Jai Walia's everything that she had, and she, Pia, and Rano, must live in the outhouse. Bani agrees. She comes back and tells everyone they are living in the outhouse. Jai Walia now suspects something is going on. Bani makes up a plan and Jigyasa ends up signing the property papers saying that the whole property belongs to Durga Dasgupta. Durga makes the whole Walia family leave the house. Walia family move into a chawl. Durga and Rano live in Walia house. On Aparajit's request, Durga files a case against Jai for the custody of the children. Because of Jai, Bani gets the custody. The children want to stay with their father. Jai needs money so he does a job of a waiter at a party but he doesn't know its Aparajit's party. There in the party Aparajit tells everyone that Durga and him are getting married the following week and after the marriage him,Durga, and the kids are moving to America.
- After the party Jai requests to Bani to let the kids stay with them. Bani disagrees. Later that night while Aparajit was sleeping, someone comes into his room and puts a letter saying that if he marries Bani, then a lot of bad things will happen to her. Aparajit tries to catch that person but couldn't.He thought that person was Jai. It wasn't Jai it was Pia. Aparajit Dev and Bani are going to get married. But Bani finds out the truth about the blackmailing and goes back to Jai Walia. Everyone's back in the Walia Mansion. Jai and Bani are going to get married again.Before they get married, Pia asked for Veer and Jai doesn't give her.So, she kidnapped Veer. Jai already know about the plan and report to the police.On the way, the police has caught Pia with Veer.Unfortunately Pia's car met in an accident while she was trying to escape from the police.Bani and Jai have remarried and then they received a call that Pia's car has met in an accident.They rushed to the hospital and the doctor says Pia is now in coma stage and Jai told the doctor that he wants to bring back Pia home.A few days passed and they are happy together but now Aparajit Dev has robbed them of all their money. They are trying to find ways to get money. After a while, Ranveer rapes Rashi. Aditya kicks Ranveer out of the house because of this. Ranveer comes back claiming to have "changed". Jigyasa thinks about a plan to steal the child from Rashi and tells Ranveer to ignore Rano and pretend that he has fallen back in love with Rashi. Meanwhile, Rano and Bani take Pia to Mount Abu, hoping that she will recover, and to sell the house. Bani also figures out that her mom has some relation with a palace. Bani hurts an insane man named Daksh, who gets calm only when he sees Bani. And, Bani learns that her father had sold it to Dhanraj Builders before he died, and see Dhanraj, Daksh's dad. He happily gives her the house, and then she returns to Mumbai, in time to save the Walia Mansion. Dhanraj starts to search for Bani. Jigyasa fixes Nachiket's marriage with a spoiled, rich brat named Arushi, so that her family company, Dhanraj Builders, will help the Walia's to build up the industries. Arushi's kind and beautiful widow sister-in-law, Purva is really in love with Nachiket, and he is in love with her. Arushi is a very ugly and mean woman. Arushi is pregnant and Bani finds out about it, so Arushi treats Bani very rudely. Bani also finds out that Purva loves Nachiket, and tries to tell Jai, but there is no time. Then, she finally tells at the marriage function about Purva and Nachiket's love, and she is yelled at by everyone, including Arushi. Then Dhanraj, Arushi's uncle, comes and reveals the truth about Arushi, as he had seen her and Bani at the airport and hospital. Mohan, Arushi's father, slaps her, and they decide to get Purva and Nachiket married. Then Arushi and Jigyasa hook up together to take down Bani. Bani helps Daksh as a request by Jai who got a request from Dhanraj. Jigyasa and Arushi try to make it look like their extramarital affair going on with Bani and Daksh. the big secret that Dhanraj is keeping a way from Bani is that Daksh is widower of Bani's long lost twin sister. Jai wants Bani to stop seeing him even thought 60% of his brain is working. Dhanraj blackmails Bani with throwing Jai back onto the streets. She helps Daksh get better by reincarnating his wedding. He gets better and gets pissed at his parents for blackmailing Bani. Krishna and Aatharva get kidnapped. The kidnapper calls Jai from Jai's house. The kidnapper is the guy with the pink ring. The kidnappers call Bani and Bani asking for 3 crore and then Bani goes with Daksh with the money and gets the kids but then Jai turns up with police and kidnappers run off with money and kids.In the car kids keep crying so kidnappers suffocate them and let them go. Bani and Jai hug kids n find they are dead.Jigyasa has done kala jadu and inflicted Jai to think Bani and Daksh are in love.
- Bani becomes pregnant again with Jai but is chucked out of the house.The baby is born.Five years later Bani's new daughter (Ganga) is praying and asking her mother(Bani) where her father is (Jai),Bani keeps on crying. Jai Walia's face is shown.A party is given at Walia Mansion. Mrs.Walia is called and Meera enters.Bani which is also known as Maithali lives with her daughter,Gangga and Maasi in a small house by a village in Meerut. Since Bani is gone Jai Walia has changed in his ways. He has taken advantages of all the people that owns businesses and turns them pennyless.Jai was visiting Meerut to buy an estate but the owner does not want to sell the estate because he said that he have someone who have a small shop and house on the estate. So he cannot sell the estate for that person's sake (referring to Bani).Jai was about to visit the person who resides on the land (Bani,Ganga & Maasi) but the owner of the estate wife who is very greedy for money stopped him.She brought Jai to her home and she told him that the estate was in her name and she could sell it if she wants.So she sold it for 25 larks but Jai Walia paid 1 crore for it.Soon Bani and her small family will have to move from the land to Mumbai.There Bani works as a waitress in a hotel. A few days later she meets Mr.Walia and he thinks that Gangga is Daksh's daughter.

- Jai Walia - The male protagonist of the series. Married to Bani. Has 3 children, of which 2 died, and other one, he doesn't know about.
- Bani Walia (Durga Das Gupta), (Maithili), - The female protagonist of the series. Oldest sister of the three and is married to Jai Walia whom she had a kid, but before she/he was born it was killed in it's mother's womb. Then Bani has twin (son and daughter) Atharva and Krishna who get kidnapped and killed . After what Bani is kicked out by Jai because he thinks she's the cause of their children's death and she was having an affair with Daksh who's Bani's twin sister's husband. After a five year leap she has changed her name once again to Maithali and has another daughter Gangga who has no clue of who her father is.
- Unknown - Jai and Bani's child that died in Bani's womb because of an attack by goons send to kill her father. She was a girl and come to tell her mother bye and to go back to her, "papa," as his alone. She was played by the actress Kushi.
- Atharva - Jai and Bani's son. Twin brother of Krishna. Now dead
- Krishna - Jai and Bani's daughter. Twin sister of Atharva. Now dead
- Gangga - Jai and Bani's daughter. Youngest Child. The Father does not even know she exists.
- Uday - Jai, Jigyasa, and Nachiket's father. He ran away with his mistress Barnali and was killed by her with the help of Jigyasa.
- Krishna - The dead mother of Jai and Jigyasa.
- Barnali - Nachiket's mother. Had a love affair with Uday and killed him. Currently in prison.
- Jigyasa - The primary antagonist. Jai's sister and even after the divorce state's herself as Aditya's wife, whom she has 3 children. One of them(Sahil)is now dead.
- Aditya - Jigyasa's ex-husband and Jai's best friend. He lives with his mother in the Walia Mansion.
- Nachiket - Jai's step-brother. Uday and Barnali's illegitimate son. Married Purva.
- Purva - Nachiket's wife who was a widow.
- Maasi - Jai Walia's maternal aunt.Currently staying with Bani(Maithali)and Gangga.
- Karuna - Mausi's daughter and mother of Lakshmi. In the beginning she was good, however her character then went negative and joined forces with Pia & Jigyasa.
- Ranveer - Jigyasa and Aditya's oldest son and married to Raashi. Before Raashi went to the hospital, she married Ranveer and Rano together. In jail for trying to kill Rashi.
- Anu - Jigyasa and Aditya's second child and only daughter. Married to Rohit.
- Sahil - Jigyasa and Aditya's youngest son and married to Rano. He is now dead.
- Rano - The youngest sister and is married to Sahil. They have a son who is born deaf. After Sahil died she married Ranveer on Raashi's insistence.
- Varun - Rano and Sahil's son. Born deaf.
- Veer - Jai and Pia's son... or maybe Pushkar's, still many questions to be answered are left.
- Raashi - Ranveer's wife. Currently got out of her cancer.(rare blood cancer) Now going to go get Ranveer back.Pregnant with Ranveer's child and now has a daughter by him and when she found out that she had cancer she wanted him to stay happy so she made him marry Rano. Ranveer then fell in love with Rano and wants to stay with Rano and not Rashi.
- Meera - Meera is married to Jai Walia after Bani was thrown out of the house. But he does not treat her as his wife. She is only known to him as "Mrs.Jai Walia". She is also the sister of Mohan Khandawal.
- Vidya-Ranveer and Rashi's daughter. Same age as Ganga. Gets herself into to much trouble.
- Laksmi-Grand daughter of Maasi and daughter of Karuna.

- Nishikant - Drunk father of the three sisters. Dies in the beginning of the show.
- Kiran - The mother of the sisters. Killed herself by coming in front of Jai Walia's car. Was ill.
- Pia - Middle sister and is married to Pushkar but supposedly "loves" Mr Jai Walia. Supposedly has a son with Mr. Walia Wants Bani away from the Walia family and wants her dead. Paralyzed from car accident. earlier in the drama she fell in love with Pushkar and almost got married to Jai and then ditched her wedding.

- Daksh - An insane man who is hurt by Bani's motorcycle. It calmed down only by Bani. Might like Bani. Also the husband of Bani's dead twin sister. He is cured now. He is a widower because he married Anamika. Brother-in-law of Bani, Pia and Rano.
- Dhanraj - Daksh's father and rich company owner.Arushi's uncle.
- Arushi - A rich, spoiled, heiress who is pregnant with another man's child, and was getting married to Nachiket. Cousin of Daksh and niece of Dhanraj.
- Mohan - Rich man. He is Arushi's father and Dhanraj's younger brother.
- Madhavi - Arushi's mother and wife of Mohan. Is a good character and took Bani's side.wicked drama.
- Anamika - Bani's twin sister.Died by a fire.Married to Daksh.
