KSnapshot is a screenshot application for the KDE desktop environment that was created by Richard J. Moore, Matthias Ettrich and Aaron J. Seigo in Qt and C++.
KSnapshot allows users to use hotkeys to take a screenshot of the entire screen, a selected portion, or one window. Users then have the choice to save the screenshot in a raster format, or directly print the screenshot.
An equivalent application for the GNOME desktop environment is gnome-screenshot.
