Joel Dorn

Joel Dorn (April 7, 1942December 17 2007) was an American jazz and R&B music producer and record label serial entrepreneur. He worked at Atlantic Records and 32 Jazz, Label M, and Hyena Records are among the record labels he started. He called himself "The Masked Announcer".

Artists he worked with included: Roberta Flack, Max Roach, Yusef Lateef, the Neville Brothers, Herbie Mann, Les McCann, Eddie Harris, Mose Allison and Rahsaan Roland Kirk.

His son, Adam Dorn, is an acclaimed electronic music DJ/producer/bassist working under the name Mocean Worker aka MOWO.
