Joseph Howard Coleman Jr (born February 3, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts) was a pitcher for the Washington Senators (1965-70), Detroit Tigers (1971-76), Chicago Cubs (1976), Oakland Athletics (1977-78), Toronto Blue Jays (1978), San Francisco Giants (1979) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1979).
He is the son of former Major League Pitcher Joe Coleman (1922-1997).
He was the youngest player in the American League during his rookie season in 1965.
He helped the Tigers win the 1972 American League Eastern Division and the Pirates win the 1979 World Series.
He was named to the 1972 American League All-Star Team.
He finished 23rd in voting for the 1973 American League MVP for having a 23-15 Win-Loss record in 40 Games, 40 Games Started, 13 Complete Games, 2 Shutouts, 288 ⅓ Innings Pitched, 283 Hits Allowed, 125 Runs Allowed, 113 Earned Runs Allowed, 32 Home Runs Allowed, 93 Walks Allowed, 202 Strikeouts, 6 Wild Pitches, 1,219 Batters Faced, 2 Intentional Walks, 3.53 ERA and dubiously leading the League in Hit Batsmen (10).
He led the American League in Hit Batsmen (12) in 1974.
He led the American League in Wild Pitches (15) in 1975.

He ranks 51st on the MLB All-Time Wild Pitches List (118).
