Jody McBrayer is a former member of the Christian pop group Avalon. He departed the group in 2007 due to a heart condition.

He has released 1 solo album on Sparrow Records titled This is Who I Am, in 2002.

He's married to Stephanie Harrison and has 1 daughter, Sarah Clayton McBrayer, born in 2005.

Former "American Idol" contestant Clay Aiken stated in an interview that Jody was one of his favorite singers.
