[edit] History
By spring 2007, Jett8 was expected to obtain from the government of Singapore an air-operator's certificate and the air-traffic rights required to operate the company's scheduled international network.[3] The airline is headed by Louis Tan, a former Singapore Airlines pilot, is targeting the cargo charter market, to avoid head-on competition with Singapore Airlines Cargo and other scheduled cargo airlines and plans to have a fleet of five Boeing 747-200 freighters in the next 12-18 months.[4]
[edit] Destinations
Initially, Jett8 launched services on the Singapore-Hong Kong-Singapore route and the Singapore-Dubai-Manchester-Luxembourg-Dubai-Singapore route.[3] It also commenced regional routes, beginning with Jakarta.[5] The airline will also work to create new routes to China, India, Russia, and areas throughout the Pacific in the near future.

Under an agreement with Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) they would sell a Boeing 747-200F to Jett8 in spring 2007. NCA would cooperate with Jett8 by providing aircraft.[3]
On 31 May 2007 Jett8 took delivery of its first aircraft, a Boeing 747-200SF previously operated by Nippon Cargo Airlines. Among the destinations it will operate to are Manchester, Dubai, Jakarta and Hong Kong and with further fleet expansion, more destinations in China and India are planned.
