Jefferson College

Jefferson College (known more informally as JeffCo) is a public, two-year community college located in Hillsboro, Missouri. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Jefferson College was founded in 1963. It is coeducational and has a semester-based academic calendar. It was granted a Phi Theta Kappa chapter in 1965.
In addition to the main campus in Hillsboro, Jefferson College operates two additional sites: the Jefferson College Arnold in Arnold and Jefferson College Northwest in High Ridge (the latter will eventually move to a 22-acre site on Route 30).
Its athletic teams are known as the Vikings.
The Jefferson College Library has a book collection of over 65,000 volumes. The Library subscribes to over 200 magazines, scholarly journals, and newspapers, many of which are only available in print. The Library also has a collection of over 2,000 videotapes, DVDs, Music CDs, and audio books on tape and CD.
The Library is also home to the Jefferson County History Center, which serves as an archive for Jefferson County. The History Center is used for genealogical research by residents of Jefferson County, Missouri as well as visitors from many different states and Canada whose ancestors once lived in Jefferson County, Missouri.
