Jacksonville Transportation Authority

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is the body in charge of public transit for the city of Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding area. It is in charge of the bus lines, trolleys, paratransit, and the city's monorail system, the JTA Skyway. It is also involved in the planning, financing, and construction of various transportation-related projects in the Jacksonville area.

The Authority was formed in 1971 by a merger of the Jacksonville Expressway Authority with several private bus companies.
