Islam in Burundi

Muslims in Burundi are officially around 1% of the total population, though Muslim Burundians estimate the figure to be closer to 8-10%. The CIA World Factbook also puts the figure at 10%. [1] Burundi is a constitutionally secular nation, although Eid Al-Fitr is among several national holidays.
