Investigation

Investigation is the process of inquiring into a matter through research, follow-up, study, or formal procedure of discovery. The term may refer to any of the following:
- Academic or intellectual investigation aimed at the discovering, interpreting, and revising of knowledge.
- Private investigation undertaken by a private investigator or a detective
- Investigation carried out under official authority by law enforcement personnel
- Criminal investigation:
- Observational studies conducted as medical research in Clinical trials
- Investigation (film), a 2006 Bulgarian drama film
