Indiana University, founded in 1820, is a nine-campus university system in the state of Indiana. The IU system includes the following campuses:

Furthermore, there is another small campus associated with IUPUI:

The IUPUI campus also hosts the Indiana University Medical Center, the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, all of which are on IUPUI's campus but technically independent of IUPUI.

As of Fall 2007, the number of students at Indiana University is 99,122; many of these students study at the main Bloomington campus (38,990 students) and at IUPUI (29,854 students).
