"I Found Someone" is the name of a song written by Michael Bolton and Mark Mangold (of the band Touch).
[edit] History and recordings
In 1986, singer Laura Branigan released her version as a single. It experienced only minor success, peaking at number ninety on the Billboard Hot 100. It did better in adult contemporary markets and peaked at number twenty-five on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart.
The most successful version was released by Cher as the first U.S. and European single from her twenty-seventh album, Cher.
Bolton has recorded his own version of this song, as has Mark Mangold with his band Touch.
Barbara Doust, a Canadian dance pop vocalist, released a version on Logic Records in the U.S. & U.K.
