The awards of the International Indian Film Academy (commonly known as the IIFA Awards) is a prestigious award ceremony, honouring Hindi movies (Bollywood) around the world.

The awards began in 2000 and was first held in London at The Millennium Dome. From then on the awards were held at locations around the world signifying the international purpose of Hindi Cinema. The award ceremonies are held in various places around the world:
- 2000 - London, United Kingdom
- 2001 - Sun City, South Africa
- 2002 - Genting Highlands, Malaysia
- 2003 - Johannesburg, South Africa
- 2004 - Singapore
- 2005 - Amsterdam, Netherlands
- 2006 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- 2007 - Yorkshire, United Kingdom [1]
These awards honor films from the previous calendar year. For example, IIFA trophies handed out in 2005 recognized movies that were released in 2004.
