Harmony is a fictional town on NBC's soap opera Passions. A coastal town in New England with a small population, its main business being fishing and Crane Industries. Home to many affluent people as well as much poorer families, Harmony has a very diverse population. The town has many stores and restaurants, as well as many Nightclubs. It also appears to have an international airport as multiple times characters have left from this airport on gone to exotic destinations including, Bermuda, Mexico, and multiple trips to Europe. Recently it has been mentioned that Harmony also has many tourists and that Inns are popping up all over the place.

In addition, in recent years, the town has seen an increase in violent crimes. Many citizens have been killed, kidnapped or raped.

Catholicism seems to be the dominant religion.

The show has made a point in recent years of not giving a location for Harmony. Although early episodes implied that the show was in Maine (where an inland town of the same name northwest of Bangor exists), it has never been stated as fact. Various comments over the years have eliminated certain states (New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont and Connecticut have all been excluded over the years based on on-air comments that verified the five were different states), leaving only Maine as a possible location for Harmony.

In recent episodes July-August 2007, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald was sentenced to death by the state. Unless the show changed state laws, this would narrow down Harmony to only being Connecticut or New Hampshire, the only states in New England which still have the death penalty. These two states have already been eliminated in previous episodes as being the states to hold Harmony. This further adds to the mystery of where Harmony is located.

One more thing about Harmony is that though it is a small town, it is known throughout the entire continental US as that weird town on the coast. Partly because of the Crane family who reside there, but also because of its crime, and the unusual happenings that occur there quite often.

His wife Eve was a once a singer and drug addict who dated Julian and conceived a son with him that is currently believed to be deceased.

Other notable families include:

  • The Lenox family. Town witch Tabitha Lenox and her daughter Endora Lenox. Tabitha was originally portrayed as the embodiment of evil, but in recent years has become a much more likable character; in fact she has now been reclassified as a "good witch" by the Witches' Council. Tabitha, Endora and Kay Bennett often get caught up in supernatural plots involving other residents of Harmony.
  • The Wallace Family. Edna Wallace and her daughter Beth Wallace. Edna a former prostitute had a daughter, who turned out to be the daughter of Alistair Crane, the richest man in town. Beth was constantly run down by her mother and eventually turned to a life of crime.
