Guddi (Devnagari: गुड्डी, Nastaliq: گڈی) is a 1971 film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and written by Gulzar. It starred Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Utpal Dutt. It is Jaya Bachchan (née Bhaduri)'s career making film in which she plays a school girl obsessed with the actor Dharmendra, who plays himself. Utpal Dutt also has a starring role in the movie. Many popular Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Om Prakash and Pran give a guest appearance as themselves in the movie.

Guddi(Jaya Bachchcan) is a full of life girl studying in school n living with his father,brother and brother's wife.Who takes care of guddi after death of her mother.Guddi along with other girls has an ideal in her life who is none other then Dharmendra.No body knows this untill she visits Mumbai to Brother Navin(Samit Bhanja) and uncle(Uttpal Dutt) of her sister inlaw(sumita Sanyal).Where she discloses to Navin that she is in love with Dhermendra.Navin is also in love with Guddi. He discusses the matter with his uncle(Uttpal Dutt)who is a psychacterist and understanding the matter he then meets dharmendra and requests him to help them to save guddi's future.he agrees. From next day to several weeks Guddi visits film sets mostly of Dharmendra's movies n finds that the world and the person fascinated her were not the same she is visiting and is rather attracted towards Navin and they then live happily after.
