The District of Guarda (pron. IPA: ['gwaɾdɐ]) is located in the Centro(Center) of Portugal,except Vila Nova de Foz Coa,wich is in the Norte(North)Region.The District Capital and most populous city is the city of Guarda.

The district is contains 14 municipalities:

All the above municipalities are located in Centro Region,except Vila Nova de Foz Coa,wich belongs to Norte Region. Cities in the Guarda district:Gouveia,Guarda,Meda,Pinhel,Sabugal,Seia,Trancoso and Vila Nova de Foz Coa. Sub regions within the district:Beira Interior Norte,Serra da Estrela,Douro and Dao-Lafoes.
