Great Migration

Great Migration can refer to any one of several different historical migrations of people, including:

• The migration period of Europe, also called the Barbarian Invasions, between 300 and 700 C.E..
• The Great Serb Migrations from the Ottoman Empire to the Habsburg Monarchy, in 1690 and 1737.
• The Great Migration (Puritan) of Puritans from England to what is now the Northeastern United States, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Caribbean during the 1630s.
• The African American Great Migration, from the southern United States to the northern United States during the 20th century.
• The Great Transatlantic Migration of 1870-1914, a voluntary mass migration of European poor to the American continent.
• The Great Fleet (or Great Migration) of the original Māori settlers of New Zealand from Polynesia.
• The fictional Great Migrations of the Oeridians and Suloise in the World of Greyhawk campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.
