Grant Thornton International is one of the world's leading organizations of accounting and consulting member firms which provide assurance, tax and specialist services to privately held businesses and public interest entities. Grant Thornton International is a non-practicing international umbrella organization; professional services are offered nationally by the member and correspondent firms located worldwide.
Firms in the Grant Thornton International family operate in 113 countries in 521 offices worldwide. Member firm fee income rose by 12% in 2006 to US$2.8 billion. There are over 2,200 member firm partners and total personnel over 25,000 (including partners). The firm is ranked as the fifth largest worldwide.[1]
Although many of the firms now carry the Grant Thornton name, each member firm is a separate national entity, and are not members of a single international partnership. Each firm manages its administrative matters independently on a local basis.
