Parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia in April or October 2008. President Mikheil Saakashvili proposed a referendum on bringing them forward to April after the 2007 Georgian demonstrations.[1] The referendum will be held at the same time as the early presidential election on 5 January 2008.
Badri Patarkatsishvili announced on 2008-01-02 that he would run in the parliamentary election and stated that his party would be registered soon after the presidential elections.[2]
