Eu (digraph)

Eu is a digraph found in many languages which commonly represents the diphthong /eu/. Additionally, in English, eu represents the /ju/ or in yod-dropping accents /u/ sound as in feud; in German, it represents /ɔʏ/ as in Deutsch; and in French and Dutch, it represents /ø/ as in feu and leuk.

In the german languages gives a second "eu" the "Äu", it sounds simply the same. These are often used in the plural.

- laus (singular) to Läuse (plural) (louse)
- Baum (singular) to Bäume (plural) (Tree)
