Erik Vendt (born January 9, 1981 in North Easton, Massachusetts) is a swimmer from the United States who won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2001 he won the silver medal in the 400m Medley at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
Named 2002 NCAA Swimmer of the Year after winning the 1650y free and 400y IM, he was second in the 500y free. Vendt broke the 16-year-old American record in 1500m free, becoming the first American to break 15 minutes with a time of 14:59.11 at 2000 Olympic Trials.
He currently trains at the University of Michigan under Bob Bowman.
