Erebuni Fortress

Erebuni Fortress is an Urartian castle in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

It was founded by king Argišti in 782 BC as a military base.

This great site has formed the scene of highly successful excavations by Russian and Armenian scholars since 1947. [1]
