From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Polish system of local administration, a dzielnica is an administrative subdivision of a city or town, which in some cases may have its own council and (in Warsaw) its own mayor (burmistrz).
The word dzielnica is also used informally in Polish to refer to any distinct part of a town or city, as well as having various historical meanings.
