As announced on 10 December 2007,Dan Nelson is the new singer for American heavy metal band Anthrax, replacing John Bush (the previous full time singer) and Joey Belladonna (who was previously on tour with Anthrax for a special reunion). He was previously in the band Devilsize. Some fans are apprehensive, whether this be because they would have preferred Joey to permanently return, would prefer to have John Bush return again, or simply because they do not know much about the new singer.
Dan has worked with the Long Island bands Dicipline and Devilsize. Dans vocals are reminicent of John Bush / Phil Anselmo.
