Center of Jesus the Lord (New Orleans)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Center of Jesus the Lord is a Roman Catholic church and retreat house located on Rampart Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. The massive walled complex was completed in 1895 as the convent for a community of Discalced Carmelites. The Carmelites moved out in the early 1970s and sold the building to the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The Archdiocese now maintains the facility as the Center of Jesus the Lord, a Catholic Charismatic retreat center and worshiping community.
