Castanheira de Pera (pron. IPA: [kɐʃtɐ'ɲɐiɾɐ dɨ 'peɾɐ]), often erroneously written Castanheira de Pêra, is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 66.8 km² and a total population of 3,464 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 2 parishes, and is located in the district of Leiria.
The present Mayor is Fernando José Pires Lopes, elected by the Socialist Party.
The municipal holiday is on July 4.
