Captain is a title which can have a variety of meanings to include:
- Two different military ranks:
- Captain (OF-2): an army, air force or marine rank with a NATO code of OF-2
- Captain (naval): a naval rank with a NATO code of OF-5
- Captain (band): a London-based alternative rock band
- Captain (Star Trek): a rank of the Starfleet in the science fiction universe of Star Trek
- Captain (nautical): the master of a sea-going vessel
- Captain (civil aviation): the pilot in command of an aircraft
- Captain (sports): the leader of an athletic team
- Band captain: a Drum Major or other music leader who is also a member of the musical band
- Captain General: a now (nearly) extinct variation of the army rank of General
- Captain (album): a 1998 music album by Scottish band Idlewild
- Captain (Hellsing): a fictional character from the Hellsing manga and OVA.
