Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely was an administrative county in England.
It was created in 1965 following the recommendations of the Local Government Commission for England, by merging the administrative counties of Cambridgeshire and the Isle of Ely - except that the Thorney Rural District became part of Huntingdon and Peterborough instead.
In 1974 Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely was merged with Huntingdon and Peterborough to form an enlarged Cambridgeshire.
