CFDR-FM will be a Canadian FM radio station licensed to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and serving the Halifax area. Broadcasting at 88.9 MHz, it will offer a modern rock format branded as LIVE 88.9.

Originally owned by Patterson Broadcasters (C.A. "Arnie" Patterson), CFDR first hit the airwaves in 1962. It made its home on various spots on the dial, first on 790 AM, then moving to 680 AM in 1978, then up to 780 AM in 1991.

CFDR was an easy listening station until 1987, when it changed its format to Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR). The format change was the subject of much protest by fans of the Easy Listening format in the Halifax area. It generated many complaints to the CRTC, as well as to the station itself, but the format change stood until it switched to the country format in December 1993. As of April 4, 2007, Newcap has received approval from the CRTC to move CFDR to the FM band at 88.9 MHz. It is dropping its country format in favour of alternative rock, partly because another Halifax station, CHFX-FM, also airs country music. The station will be branded "LIVE 88.9", patterned after NewCap's Ottawa station LIVE 88.5.

CFDR and sister station CFRQ-FM (Q104) are owned by Newcap Broadcasting.
