Bruce Kimmel (born December 8, 1947), also known as Guy Haines, is an actor, writer, director, composer, and Grammy-nominated CD producer.
Kimmel was in Los Angeles, California. He is the director of The First Nudie Musical (1976), The Creature Wasn't Nice (1983), Prime Suspect (1989) and Murphy's Laws of Golf (1989). He has also written a play, a thriller, called Deceit (2006).
Kimmel is the author of two mystery novels, Rewind and Writer's Block, and three autobiographical novels featuring protagonist Benjamin Kritzer. He publishes all his books through Authorhouse.
Kimmel produced records under the Varese Sarabande and Fynsworth Alley labels. Amongst his productions are musical cast albums, solo albums by traditional pop artists, and compilation albums of show music. His current label is Kritzerland, which has recently produced the soundtrack for the theatrical version of The Last Starfighter among others.
