[edit] Musical career

Don't Get Comfortable is Heath's major label debut, and it is the result of all his years of studying songwriting greats. His song, 'I'm Not Who I Was' is a great example of this young artist's unique and fresh song-writing. Producer Dan Muckala (Backstreet Boys, Nick Lachey, The Afters) has added pop influences to Heath's earthy songwriting. In 2007, he received a nomination for a Dove Award for Worship Song of the Year with his song "Our God Reigns".[3] [4]

Heath has partnered in songwriting with Bebo Norman and Matt Wertz, who was one of his roommates.[4] He has written songs for Norman, Joy Williams and Christopher Williams. He has worked with Sevenglory on their 2007 album.

Brandon attributes much of his success to the direct influence of Rusty Goodsell, Joey Humke, and Matt Long. According to Brandon, "without Rusty Joey and Matt, I'd be picking up horse droppings on Broadway downtown in Nashville. Those guys...seriously, they're everything to me."
