[edit] History

The school opened in September 2006 as part of the first wave of a nationwide 10-15 year programme of capital investment funded by the Department for Education and Skills called Building Schools for the Future. It currently occupies the sites of the former St Hilda's RC Girls' High School and St Theodore's Catholic Sports College; its new buildings, scheduled for completion in 2010, will be on the former St Theodore's site.
