Beacon Pictures (formerly Beacon Communications, LLC) is the name of an American production company founded in 1990 by Armyan Bernstein. The company produces motion pictures for major Hollywood studios.
Bernstein is the chairman of this company and produces the movies for the Beacon Pictures label, working with such studios as Buena Vista Pictures, Universal Pictures and Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group.
Today, the company is a division of Holding Pictures Distribution Company, LLC (HPDC), formed in 2002 by Bernstein and Charlie Lyons (HPDC's CEO). The studio owns a five-year production deal with Buena Vista Pictures.
