Basque Country

The Basque Country may refer to one of three areas inhabited by Basque people:
- The Basque Country (historical territory) (Euskal Herria), which Basque nationalists seek independence for.It is formed by the provinces Araba, Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia, Nafarroa, Baxe-Nafarroa, Lapurdi and Zuberoa.
- The Basque Country (autonomous community) (Hegoalde or País Vasco), the southern part of Euskal Herria, an autonomous community of Spain, composed with Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia and Araba.
- The Northern Basque Country (Iparralde or Pays Basque), the northern part of Euskal Herria, in France, with Lapurdi, Baxe-Nafarroa and Zuberoa.
