Barrow-in-Furness Sixth Form College is located in the outskirts of Barrow-in-Furness.[citation needed] Barrow Sixth Form College is one of the few purpose-built sixth form colleges in the country and unique within Cumbria.[citation needed] The buildings have been specially designed for students over the age of sixteen and include facilities for physically disabled students. A new wing and extensive alterations including a new library have recently been built, and there are further extensions planned.[citation needed] The college primarily educates students within the age range of 16-18 years (around 1,100 enroled), as well as courses for adult learners.[citation needed] The college principal is Dave Kelly, and the college employs over 120 members of staff.[citation needed]
