Bankya (Bulgarian: Банкя) is a town in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Sofia city oblast and is close to Pernik and the capital Sofia.
The municipality is famous for the mineral springs and baths that have been used for their medicinal properties for hundreds of years. Mayor of Sofia Boyko Borisov is a native.
