Bal Samant

Bal Samant is a well known Indian writer in Marathi. He was born on 27th May 1924. He was written about 80 books in Marathi on a wide range of topics from fiction , biography, Marathi dramas, history etc. His selected books include a biography of Richard Francis Burton,(titled Shapith Yaksha) ,Hitler, Deenanath Mangeshkar, Marathi natyasangeet, reincarnation, Bal Gandharva, elephants(titled Gajaraja) , death, and many more. He was awarded Padmashri in 2004 for Literature and education.
