Arjun Rampal (Hindi, अर्जुन रामपाल, Arjun Rāmpāl, born 26 November 1972) is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films, as well as a fashion model.

His parents are Gwen and Amarjeet Rampal.

Arjun and his younger sister attended the prestigious Kodaikanal International School located in Palani Hills,Tamil Nadu, where his mother was a teacher. One of his cousins, Kim Sharma, is an actress and appeared with him in the film Yakeen. Belongs to a rich Punjabi brahmin family of new delhi.

Arjun Rampal was discovered in a Delhi discotheque by designer, Rohit Bal. He was a student of prestigious Hindu College, Delhi then.Arjun became Rohit's protégé and promoted him to the extent that he became one of India's most sought after male supermodels. His cute, clean-cut and chiseled face makes him a great hit with men and women alike.

Rajiv Rai cast Arjun in a music video 'Don't Marry' with model Namrata Baruwah and launched him in 'Pyaar, Ishq Aur Mohabbat' with Keerti Reddy, Suniel Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. The film did not fare well but Arjun bagged many acting offers, which got his career going.

His marriage to Ex Miss-India and supermodel Mehr Jesia has led to two daughters, Mahikaa, born on January 17, 2002 and Myra, born June 2005.[citation needed].

Arjun Rampal has done a lot for charity including sponsoring many children in an orphanage.

His debut movie - Moksha was released in 2001 and was directed by Ashok Mehta. However, this film was released after his second film, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, in which he appeared with Sunil Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. Although both films did not perform at the box office his performances in both films was lauded by critics. In 2002, he won the Award of the International Indian Film Academy for Face of the Year.

Since his debut, he has worked steadily in films such as Aankhen (2002), Dil Hai Tumhaara (2002), Yakeen (2005) and Ek Ajnabee (2005).

He has also appeared in the Temptations 2004 concert with stars Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, and Priyanka Chopra.

In 2006 he made a guest appearance in the multi-starrer Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and played a supporting role in Don - The Chase Begins Again which is a remake of the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don. Rampal donned the role of Jasjit who was played by the veteran actor Pran in the original movie.

He then decided to produce as well as act in the film I See You (2006) which released on December 29, 2006. He released it with his own production company Chasing Ganesha Films. His wife, Mehr Jesia, was the co-producer. The film received poor reviews and was a failure at the box office. Arjun recently starred in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om where he played a negative role. An English language film titled The Last Lear is scheduled to be his next release.
