[edit] Political legacy

A. N. Sinha was known for his charismatic leadership and huge mass appeal and was a very prominent national leader[5]. Along with Bihar Kesari Sri Krishna Sinha, the first Chief Minister of Bihar, he is considered one of the makers of modern Bihar. He gave political patronage to the then young leaders like Loknayak Jayprakash Narayan, Jagjivan Ram, Bir chand Patel, K. B. Sahay and others. He had two sons Jityendra Narayan Sinha alias "Bade Saheb" and Satyendra Narayan Sinha. His younger son Satyendra Narayan Sinha (who was affectionately called "Chhote Saheb") also became a prominent freedom fighter leader and a distinguished politician and later became Chief Minister of Bihar[6].His grandson [7], Nikhil Kumar (a former IPS), is currently a Member of Parliament from the constituency of Aurangabad. Dr. Sinha served Bihar continuously from 1946 till his death in 1957.
