Angel from Montgomery is a country song written by John Prine,[1] originally appearing on his self-titled 1971 album John Prine. It has been covered notably by Bonnie Raitt,[1] Tanya Tucker[2], Dave Matthews Band (June 19, 1997 in Richmond, VA) and Jill Johnson in 2007.
