Alok Nath

Alok Nath (born July 10, 1956, India) is an Indian film and television actor who appears in Bollywood movies. His popularity rose with the role of Haveli Ram that he played in the television series Buniyaad, which first aired on Indian television in 1987. He has appeared in some of the biggest hits of Bollywood and usually plays supporting roles as a father or uncle. His most notable films were the Rajshree Productions Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994) and Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United (1999).
He also made an appearance in the international award-winning Richard Attenbrough directed film Gandhi (1982) where he played a small role as a freedom fighter named Tyeb Mohammed. Although he has been in numerous hit movies over the years he has always been overlooked in awards. He has been in hit TV serials such as "Piya Ka Ghar" and "Astitva" on ZEE TV. Even though he was still relatively young, he started playing elderly characters.
His most recent film has been the Rajshree film Vivah which was a huge hit.[1] His performance as a doting uncle has been praised[2]
