Bucum (played by Ice Cube) is a low paying bounty hunter that is trying to open his own police firm but he has to arrest Reggie Wright (played by Mike Epps), whom he has already arrested multiple times. While chasing Reggie Wright, he discovers a diamond heist. Reggie's girlfriend, Gina (played by Eva Mendes) and Bucum's friend, Pam, join the chase for the thieves, because of a winning lottery ticket which Reggie lost in the thieves' van.
