Agathangelus is the name of several people of historical significance:

  • Agathengelus (author), the name (possibly pseudonym) of the author of a text about Gregory the Illuminator.
  • Agathangelus of Rome, a Christian martyr who died in 309 in Ancyra
  • Agathangelus of Vendome, a member of the Capuchins who was martyred in Abyssinia, and is pending canonization (1598–1638)
  • Agathangelus I, a Patriarch of Constantinople (1826–1830)
