ADITYA PANSCHOLI Profile
Whatever Aditya Pancholi had in mind, fate had other plans for him. Travelling in a Mumbai local train once, he was spotted by the secretary of a film director who was on the look out for new faces. This cat-eyed handsome man appealed to him and Aditya Pancholi became the new star on the horizon of Hindi cinema. He began his career with Pavan Kauls 'Siyahi'and 'kalank Ka tika' on whose set he met his future wife Zarina wahab.
Aditya had fame with Sailaab in 1990 but after a while he could not live up to the expectations bestowed upon him. His first film 'Sasti Dulhan Mehenga Dulha' in 1984 paved way for money and other good things in life, but he couldn’t make it big in the movies, and had to settle with second fiddle roles of a brother or the trustworthy ‘aide’ to the hero.
Some of his movies include 'Jaadugar', 'Akeyla' with Amitabh Bachchan, 'Saathi' with Mohseen Khan, 'Gambler' with Govinda, 'Mahasangram', 'Dayavaan', 'Aatish' with Sanjay Dutt and many other unconventional films. But two movies that really got him acclaim were 'Yes Boss' and 'Hamesha', where he did a convincing job portraying the 55-year-old Thakur.
Aditya Panscholi also tried his hand at production in 'Chor Aur Chand with Pavan Kaul as Director and Pooja Bhatt, as his heroine with whom he was romantically linked during the making. But was not very successful as his temper, arrogant ways and interference messed up what could have been a good film.'Chor Aur Chand' was critically much acclaimed and glimpses of superior work from the Director Pavan Kaul was clearly evident. It was an experience that proved to Aditya Pancholi that he did not have the mental make up to be a good producer. Married to actress Zarina Wahab, his recent movies include: 'Musafir', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Border Hindustan Ka', 'Jaani Dusman': Ek Anokhi Kahani and 'Aaknhen'.Seems to be having an affair with a starlet called Kangana Ranaut and they seem to be forever fighting with frequent reports and complaints to the police for him bashing her up.
