Rajkot is a district in the Indian state of Gujarat with the administrative headquarters of Rajkot city.
This district is surrounded by Kutch (North), Surendranagar, Bhavnagar (East), Amreli, Junagadh (South) and Jamnagar (West) districts. It is the third-most advanced district in Gujarat. It had a population of 3,169,881 of which 51.29% were urban as of 2001. [1]
