Nathaniel Wheeler was the founder and executive of many companies in Bridgeport, CT, United States, in the 1800s. He owned numerous manufacturing companies and land all over, around Bridgeport, Ct including the site of his mansion on Golden Hill Street, presently occupied by the City Hall after his long time mansion was pulled down in the 1950s.
One of the larger companies was Wheeler and Wilson, mfg of sewing machines sold throughout the world and later Singer Sewing Machines.
