Hideko Maehata (前畑 秀子 Maehata Hideko?, born May 20, 1914 in Wakayama - February 241995) is a Japanese breaststroke swimmer. She won gold medal for the Women's 200 m breaststroke in the 1936 Summer Olympics, and silver medal for the Women's 200 m breaststroke in the 1932 Summer Olympics.

She is first Japanese woman to earn a gold medal in the Olympics.
